| It's been a REALLY long time since I have posted here, I didn't forget about it, I just didn't really have anything to post. As I am coming up with my top 20 albums of 2007 I want to share some of my past year lists. I didn't start writing them down till 2005 so that is where I will start. Now I go through pretty much every genre (though you will never see pop or rap on this) and I can guarantee you haven't heard of half of these bands, so here it goes

| For some reason I had an urge to do this. Im making a top 10 list of my favorite bands and naming their best album. For those of you that don't know I use to work for record labels full time and was part of the A&R department, the people who scout out new bands. Ive pretty much got over 2000 cds, yes 2000. I went through them the other day and decided which ones were my favorite, and so voila!, heres my decision. And except for the 1st cd they are in no order.

Thats the map to the MMORPG i am playing right now. Now I know it might not seem like much, but this is the newbie island. Once you get to lvl 8 or so and start a paid account you go to the mainland, which Ive heard is much bigger. Ive done almost all the quests so far which have pretty much been, kill 10 of .... and I'll give you a reward. Gets a little old but Ive been balancing it out with tradework. I chose leatherworking and it is actually pretty fun. The only quests i have left are the 2 big dungeons, you can only beat them with a party, and theres the one prob, whenever I log on theres never enough people. The game has many people playing but most have moved on to the mainland. So this is pretty much me pleading for people to join up. The game is free as long as you stay on the starting island (which is very big and has a hundred or so quests) but level 10 is the highest you can go. | | Im back into the land of MMORPGs. I joined a new game yesterday, Ashen Empires. Its a cool little game, its run by pretty much one guy and the veterans in it are extremely helpful. Its got the look of Ultima 5 graphics, so while it isn't the prettiest looking game out there, it works for the type of game. Right now Im taking the path of a leatherworker, sounds kind of corny but doing these random trades in games like this is pretty fun. For skills there is leatherworking, blacksmith, carpenter, cook, tailor, farmer, fishing. For weapon skills there are large blades, small blades, ax, bows, crossbows, polearms, and blunt weapons. I recently just started ax training, it makes leatherworking a lot easier, gotta kill things to get skinned hides. There are also some magic schools that i havent investigated yet. There are no classes, since you can pick any skill you want and mix them up. For races there are human, orc, and night elf. I picked the night elf for my first char, prolly pick an orc next char. Check it out, you download it for free and the first 10 levels are free, and after that its only $8.95 a month. The website is www.ashenempires.com. | Ok, before I start, I need to gripe. I want everybody to say FUCK YOU to Marvel comics. Everybody knows theyre big monthly event is Civil War. Well lets just say the series is going to be delayed enough now that its pretty much gonna be bimonthly. The thing that really gets me is that 70% of marvel's books right now are tie ins the civil war that are also gonna be delayed now. So now it seems like whenever an issue comes out i will get bombed with all the tie in books that were delayed while every other week will have very small pulls. This just seems like stupid marketing to me. The series was scheduled to end in november but it looks like its gonna go on till january or february. Heres another thing, Civil War is a 7 part monthly series and its being delayed, DC has a WEEKLY book out that hasnt been late yet and it been going on for over 2 months now. Yargy!

| | Oiigy, its like 4 in the mornin and i haven't had any sleep for a day or two now, nothings wrong, i just haven't been able to fall asleep. One question for all of you in a relationship, have you ever had a serious "What if I dated her instead of ---". Well i had one today for some reason, don't get me wrong, i love jenn and don't plan to break up with her, but i was thinking of a couple people and what it would of been like if i dated them instead, very weird and trippy. Also today i realized that Im way too needy, i seem to want everything and want it now, i want all x-men comics published, i want a new car, i want more tattoos, want more bar drinking money, oi, oh well, i'll get it all but got to be patient. Also had another revelation today, remember im trippy right now, im allowed to call this a revelation, but it seems like most bands that were good in the late 90s pretty much suck now. good example is Staind, there first 3 albums, tormented, dysfunction, and break the cycle were great albums, dark, depressive, and heavy. but theyre last 2 i dont know what the fuck to think of them, they have been completely shit, i hope hes happy counting his money as i know the band has lost some fans. other bands i can think of is disturbed, static x, KoRn. Oh well at least my favorites Shai Hulud, Remembering Never, Dropkick Murphys, Agony Scene, Unearth, and Every Time I Die are still kicking strong and putting out good albums. Dont tell anybody but i was dancing around my apartment earlier to some pop music, im a little embarrased since i officially declared pop and rap just dont count as music. I blame it on lack of sleep. Don't really know why im posting all this on LJ, it seems like i never post except for comic books, maybe i need to stay up a couple more nights, i might have more revelations i can share with you guys, THIS IS FUN FUN!!!! ok well im gonna get something to eat, maybe watch a movie or two then off to the waterpark sometime later today. byes all | | comments: 2 comments or Leave a comment |
